Jeff Sanders
Jeff Sanders is a senior associate at the firm.
Jeff has represented diverse clients in labour, employment, and human rights matters before various tribunals and collective agreement arbitrators. He has been involved in negotiating collective agreements and representing unions in interest arbitration procedures. His interest in protecting and expanding the labour movement began when family members were affected by legislative changes to Canadian union protections in the early 2000s. Jeff has particular experience in the federal maritime sector and the rights of marine workers having worked in-house with a national seafaring union.
Jeff first joined Victory Square Law Office as a University of Victoria Law Co-Op student in the fall of 2008. Jeff completed his articles with another Union-side labour law firm and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2013. He rejoined Victory Square in 2014 and is thrilled to have come full circle and once again be part of the VSLO team.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Jeff is a lifelong world traveler. In addition to studying international labour relations in Denmark, he has lived and worked in Cuba and Thailand. Jeff is passionate about food and music and says a background in improv comedy prepared him for legal work and parenting three very busy children in East Vancouver.
